Geostraps

Geostraps
Geostraps are planner structures consisting f a core of high tenacity polyester yarn tendons encased in a polymer sheath. The strips are suitable for reinforcement applications in combination with the concrete wall-facing panels.
The composition and thickness of the sheath for the geostraps are specifically engineered to provide a high level of dimensional stability and protection from weathering and exceptional resistance to installation damage.
The polyester yearns tendons are the load-carrying elements and comprise select high tenacity polyester filament yarns with high tensile strength and modulus, low creep, and high molecular weight (>25000 g/mol) and carboxyl end groups (,30 mmol/kg) to ensure excellent performance and durability.

Features Of Geostraps

Resistant to chemicals, micro-organisms, UV radiation and mechanical damages.
Standard tensile strength as per the end user’s requirement.
Tough and durable polymer sheath.
Low creep characteristics.
Easy installation

Applications Of Geostraps

Reinforced Soil Slope Structures
Backfills
Shored MSE Walls

FAQ's

Geostraps are planar structures that consist of high tenacity polyester yarn tendons core covered in a polymer sheath. These strips can be used as reinforcement in combination with the concrete wall-facing panels. They are made of incredibly tough polymer sheath that is resistant to physical, chemical, and biological conditions found in reinforced soil structures.
Geostraps have high performance and design life. They can last up to 120 years.
The advantages of geostraps are as below:

– The strip system is not installed on every soil slope.
– It is easy to transport and use due to its lightweight feature.
– This technology is adaptable to changes in design according to job site conditions.
Geostraps are suitable for a wide range of soil reinforcement applications, such as concrete, steel, or other material facing panels, such as Reinforced earth structures, steep slopes, reinforced embankments, and more broadly all types of soil/structure interface systems involving such reinforcements for structures for a wide range of market segments: roads and highways, environment, railways, hydraulic works, mining, and industry. Geostraps can meet a wide range of physical, chemical, and biological conditions prevalent in reinforced soil structures.
